Book review

English summary: In 1917 a large number of the cuneiform tablets that had been excavated in Bogazkoy since 1905 were handed over to the Vorderasiatisches Museum (Museum for Ancient Near Eastern Studies) in Berlin for editing and publishing. By the time the 7,500 tablets in Berlin were returned to Turkey in 1987, fifty-seven hand written volumes had been published as part of the series Keilschrifturkunden aus Boghazkoi (cuneiform documents from Boghazkoi). A further three, which were in preparation at the time, were published before 1990. Since then, editorial responsibility for the numerous, mostly small fragments, for which the precise place of discovery had unfortunately not been recorded at the time, has been taken on by the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations in Ankara. In this volume of the series Dresdner Beitrage zur Hethitologie (Dresden contributions to Hittite Studies), Ms Ilknur Tas presents the transcribed fragments numbered Bo 8264 to Bo 8485. The associated hand written texts will also be published as part of this series in the form of a special volume.
